Voice recognition on tablet Yes, on headunit No - JJM - 12-22-2018 Hi, Not sure if this is the right place for my problem but I try. I have iGO Nextgen 9.18.27.687519 installed on my tablet. Works perfect but I was testing if Voice Recognition would work and yes it does perfect. Activate VR in the menu and there is this VR button on the screen. Tab on it and I can speak commands. I have exactly the same version installed on my Car Head Unit ( Joying DE-JY-UM124N2 ) and here VR does not work. When I activate it in the settings menu there is no VR button on the screen. Just to be sure I deinstalled the iGO Nextgen in the car and deleted the complete iGO_Gift folders and rebooted. I copied the complete iGO_Gift folder incl subfolders from the tablet to the car and installed the same app as on the tablet. Everything works perfect except VR. When I activate VR there is no VR button. Also TTS engines are the same both on the tablet and the car unit. Looks like the microphone is not found ? When I use the soundrecorder app I can record so the mic works I think. Anyone found a solution for this ? Thanks. RE: Voice recognition on tablet Yes, on headunit No - JJM - 12-24-2018 EDIT : Found the solution. I noticed that the Google app was not there so I installed it from the Google Play Store and no it works ! There is only " Voice output " witch goes to Text-to speech options Maybe that's the reason Voice input is not always correct ( only basic option ) ? |
