Phone call \ microphone issues

Hi,

I`m having issues with using the internal MIC on a EU-JY-VO131P2 unit. The other side can't understand a word I`m saying once I`m on the highway. Is there anything I can do? My Skoda has a built in mic, can I try to connect that to the unit and see if it improves, or will I break something?

I have installed the latest firmware update already.
